What it is used for
Dexlansoprazole is used to heal erosive oesophagitis, where stomach acid has damaged the lining of the food pipe, and to help keep it healed. It is also used to relieve heartburn caused by gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). It reduces symptoms such as a burning feeling in the chest and acid coming up into the throat.
How it works
