A message from our Chief Medical Officer
Every consultation begins with trust. A patient shares their symptoms, their history and often their worries, and expects in return care that is careful, honest and right for them. As Chief Medical Officer, protecting that trust is my first responsibility.
In my clinical work in Chittagong, I see every day what good care depends on: a clear history, the right test at the right time, a prescription the patient understands, and a follow-up that actually happens. When any one of those links breaks, outcomes suffer, however skilled the doctor.
Mukti Health is built to keep those links intact. My role is to set and uphold the clinical standards behind it: every doctor verified before they practise on the platform, consultations conducted with the same care as a visit in person, prescriptions that are clear and complete, and health information checked by a doctor before patients rely on it.
Safe digital care also knows its limits. Not every condition can be managed remotely, and recognising when a patient needs to be seen in person, or urgently, is part of practising well. When that moment comes, we will guide patients to the right care without delay.
Where Mukti Health uses AI, it supports the doctor and never replaces the doctor's judgement. What it drafts is read, corrected and signed by the doctor responsible, and the accountability stays with that doctor.
Confidentiality matters just as much. What a patient tells their doctor belongs to the patient, and it should be seen only by those caring for them.
Medicine asks for humility, and so does building something new. We will keep reviewing our standards, listening to patients and clinicians, and improving.
My promise to every patient and every family is simple. Clinical safety will never be traded for speed or convenience. If it is not safe, it does not belong on Mukti Health.
With care,Dr. Abida Samira MahmudaChief Medical Officer, Mukti Health
