What it is used for
Aceclofenac relieves pain, swelling and stiffness. It is mainly used for long-term joint conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Doctors may also prescribe it for other painful conditions, such as back pain, dental pain, and muscle and joint injuries.
How it works
Aceclofenac is closely related to diclofenac. It reduces the body's production of prostaglandins, the chemicals behind pain and inflammation, by blocking the COX enzymes.

Common side effects
Common side effects include indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea and dizziness. Some people have changes in liver blood tests. Like other anti-inflammatory painkillers, it can cause stomach ulcers or bleeding, especially with long-term use or in older people.
