What it is used for

This combination is used on the skin to prevent or treat infection in minor cuts, scrapes and small, minor burns. It is also used for some minor bacterial skin infections. It is meant for small areas and short-term use.

How it works

Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that stops bacteria from making proteins. Bacitracin stops bacteria from building their cell walls, so together they act on a wider range of skin bacteria.
