What it is used for

Moxifloxacin eye drops and ointment are used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis, an infection of the clear surface of the eye that causes redness, discharge and crusting. Eye specialists also prescribe it for other bacterial eye infections and around eye operations such as cataract surgery to lower the risk of infection. It is not effective for viral or allergic eye problems.

How it works
