What it is used for
Clotrimazole cream and solution treat fungal skin infections. These include ringworm on the body, athlete's foot, jock itch in the groin, yeast infections in skin folds and some nappy rashes, and pityriasis versicolor (pale or dark patches on the skin). It is applied only to the affected skin.
How it works
Clotrimazole damages the outer membrane of fungal cells so they leak and cannot grow, which allows the skin to heal.
