Female hormone (oestrogen) level

Oestradiol, also written estradiol and known as E2, is the main form of oestrogen in women before menopause. It is made mostly by the ovaries and controls the menstrual cycle, supports pregnancy and helps keep bones healthy. Men make small amounts too. Measuring it helps your doctor assess ovarian function, fertility, puberty and menopause.

What the results can mean
